Every team and business these days wants to become more agile. Scrum, Agile, Kanban and other initiatives are kicked off everywhere and the early results look impressive. But somehow, over time, energy is lost and "becoming agile" turns out to just be another bogged down change project.
You and your fellow change agents are like a small tug who wants change the course of a large container ship (aka The Business).
Almost every management practice in use today has its roots in the previous century … and many of these practices simply are not fit for purpose in our rapidly changing world.
This inertia is the true reason why so many agile journeys fall short of their lofty expectations.
But it doesn't have to be like this!
Kanban is extremely suited for supporting your overall business agility agenda. But there is no one right way to use it. eXuviate is the one place where you can deepen your understanding, find answers to questions you cannot google and learn how others have done what you still want to do.
We all are creatures of habit and try to do more of what has worked in the past instead of pushing forward with the next significant improvement. From video podcasts with thought leaders to personal nudges from other members, much of what we do in eXuviate is focused on counteracting this pull to the "status quo".
Leading change in an organisation from the Stone Age can be draining. You can recharge by using eXuviate to vent some steam, laugh about an insider joke or just to receive some words of encouragement. Perhaps you just need to realise that it could have been so much worse. Whatever you need, we have got you covered.
It is easy to read a book, do a course and sell yourself as an agility expert. What is not so easy is to actually live and breath business agility in the way we (Mark Geschke and Mathias Tölken), your eXuviate hosts, do.
In 1994 we founded our first IT services company and sold in 2015 after it had grown to 65 employees and was widely regarded as the trendsetter. Since 2010, the majority of our time went to figuring out how to create more business value from IT. This is how Xuviate (the business) and later eXuviate (this network) was born.
In our role as leadership coaches, we combine our vast business and technology knowledge with modern management tools and methods such as Kanban, Lean, Agile, TOC, Kaizen and Wardley Mapping to always ask one question:
What is the most ambitious and meaningful next step you can take today?
Since the first days of Xuviate in 2015 we have always believed that magic could happen when two or more like-minded people have a meeting of hearts and support each other.
This is the reason why we are facilitating professional Mastermind peer-groups for leaders and change agents in traditional businesses, why we have organised the Virtual IT Leader Growth Summit in 2018 and why we are so incredibly passionate about running the eXuviate Network.
Even though we are still a relatively small group, we have already achieved so much over the last 4 years and we are so looking forward to see what will happen as the community continues to grow.
We would love you to join us on this journey!
